Parents
Successful students require support from both a solid school structure and home. Learn the many ways you can connect with us and other MH - MA parents. Your involvement shows your child that you care.
How We Keep Families Informed
We understand the importance of connection when your child is hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away. We’ve established multiple methods and provide tools so you can make a positive difference in your child’s education, spot potential problems, take action when needed, and plan for their success.
- PowerSchool. Log-in in from anywhere to access everything from daily grades and attendance information to curriculum details, homework assignments, and notes from teachers.
- Raven Alerts. Sign up for our text messaging service. We use this alert system to quickly notify you of changes to game times, campus-wide emergencies, or to send out important reminders. You must have a U.S. phone number to receive these text messages.
- Electronic Communication. Easily stay connected throughout the semester by exchanging emails with teachers, the principal, and through periodic grade reports.
- Student Handbook. Updated each school year, we ask all families to read and reference the handbook.
- Raven Weekly and Counselor’s Corner. Each week, parents and students receive the Raven Weekly from our principal. Included in this weekly email is information from our academic counselor, Ms. McGinnis, with reminders about college applications, scholarships, ACT/SAT/TOEFL test dates, and much more.
Parents Club
Looking for a great way to get involved with the school and your child’s experience? Join the Parents Club! Organized and presided over by parents of current students at MH - MA, the Parents Club supports our school and helps raise funds through school dances, concession stands at sporting events, and multiple fundraisers throughout the year. We use the money raised by the Parents Club to pay for a variety of things, including fulfilling “wish lists” submitted by teachers, coaches, and other staff members.
Day parents will receive information regarding community service hour opportunities throughout the school year. We ask each household to volunteer 15 hours during the school year. Opportunities include campus clean up, concession stands, chaperone dances, set up for events, sponsor a student club, and more.
